About Tivora Player

Tivora Player is a private bring-your-own network stream playlist player for iPhone, Android, and Windows 11 (x64). It is designed for people who already have authorised access to their own compatible stream server or playlist.

Apart from public testing samples in demo mode, users supply their own authorised sources. The app does not provide streaming subscriptions, provider directories, public content search, accounts, ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, or backend services.

Demo Mode

Demo mode is available without login or credentials. It uses neutral public sample streams so the app can be reviewed and tested without private server details.

Adding Your Own Server

Use Add Server to enter your own authorised Xtream-compatible server details or a full compatible get.php playlist URL. Use Sources to add, switch, edit, or delete multiple saved sources. Source profiles, credentials, and retained credential-bearing playlist URLs stay on your device in platform secure storage.

Compatible Xtream sources can supply live channels and optional films. When normal API validation reports the server API unavailable, a successfully parsed full get.php URL can instead be validated and saved as a live-only M3U source. Invalid credentials, malformed responses, timeouts, and other network failures do not trigger that fallback. Arbitrary playlist/file imports are not supported by this flow.

Do not add servers, playlists, or streams that you do not own or are not authorised to access.

Troubleshooting

• If a server does not validate, check that the server URL, username, and password are correct.
• If validation is slow or fails, the server may be temporarily unavailable or may block connections from your current network.
• If the channel list is empty, check the selected source and confirm that it has authorised live streams available. Xtream sources need compatible category/stream APIs; an M3U fallback source needs a valid, accessible get.php playlist.
• If a stream does not play, try another stream from the same playlist. Some streams use codecs, containers, redirects, or network settings that may not work on every device or connection.
• For programme listings, open Sources > source actions > Guide data. Xtream sources can use their source-default XMLTV guide; you can disable guide requests or configure a non-secret custom XMLTV URL. Guide availability depends on the source and matching channel information. Missing or invalid guide data does not prevent catalogue browsing or playback.

Favourites, recents, film resume progress, selected categories, and guide settings are local to each saved source. Settings also contains language, home-view, and retry preferences. Catalogue and guide caches are memory-only, so they must be fetched again after the app restarts.

To remove everything saved by these features, open Settings > Clear local data. It removes all saved sources and credentials, playlist URLs, favourites, recents, film progress, guide settings, selected categories, and catalogue/guide caches. Home-view and retry preferences reset; app language is kept. Use Sources to delete an individual source instead. Deletion in Tivora does not delete records kept by external server operators.

Windows Microsoft Store Version

The Windows desktop target is Windows 11 on an x64 PC. An internet connection is needed for public demo samples and for sources outside your local network. Stream compatibility depends on the source, media format, and device.

The desktop workspace keeps playback beside Channels, Guide, Saved, Sources, and Settings. Use the player controls for pause, volume, stop, and fullscreen. Playback is designed to continue while you browse or switch to another app; after Windows locks or sleeps, use Play explicitly to resume.

Source credentials use Windows DPAPI protection. For the Microsoft Store package, credentials and preferences belong to the package's local app data. They survive app restarts and package updates. Ordinary uninstall removes that data, and reinstall starts empty. An existing unpackaged installation has separate data and is not automatically imported or changed.

Privacy

Tivora Player sends catalogue, media, artwork, and optional guide requests directly to your chosen endpoints. Those operators may process requests under their own policies. The app has no Tivora account system, ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, or backend service.
