Flacfit Privacy Policy
Summary
Flacfit is a local-only macOS utility. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, telemetry, tracking, cloud upload, or network services.
The developer does not collect data from the app.
User-Selected Files
Flacfit accesses only folders and report locations you explicitly select through macOS. It reads FLAC audio properties in the selected source folder and, when you request a compatible copy, writes processed FLAC files to the separate output location you authorize.
Audio files, filenames, folder paths, scan results, and conversion results are not transmitted to the developer or another service.
Data Stored On Your Mac
Flacfit may store or create the following local data:
- Preferences for keeping the Mac awake during processing and revealing successful output in Finder.
- A temporary run manifest inside an app-created partial output folder while processing. It is removed after success or cancellation and may remain after a failure so Flacfit can identify eligible partial output for removal and retry.
- A Markdown report only when you explicitly export one. The report can contain source and output paths, timestamps, counts, issue details, and per-file outcomes.
- The compatible output FLAC files you explicitly ask Flacfit to create.
Data Collection And Tracking
Flacfit does not collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics, audio content, file metadata, precise location, identifiers, purchases, or contact information from the app. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data Control
You control the local files Flacfit creates. You can delete exported reports and output folders in Finder. App preferences can be changed in Flacfit Settings or removed with the app's local preferences.
Because the developer does not receive app data, there is no server-side Flacfit account or collected app data to access or delete.
Changes
This policy may be updated if Flacfit's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
