What Brewlight Does
Brewlight helps you browse public Homebrew metadata, inspect a user-selected Homebrew prefix in read-only mode, and preview commands for manual Terminal use.
What Brewlight Does Not Do
Brewlight does not run brew, install packages, update packages, uninstall packages, clean files, control services, request administrator privileges, install helper tools, or modify your Homebrew installation.
Local Data Controls
You can clear Brewlight local data from the app:
- Clear command history from History or Settings.
- Clear cached metadata from Settings.
- Reset the selected Homebrew prefix from Settings or the Dashboard prefix controls.
- Reset onboarding from Settings.
These actions affect Brewlight's local app data only.
Homebrew Support
Brewlight is not affiliated with Homebrew. For Homebrew itself, package formulae, casks, taps, or command-line behavior, use Homebrew's official documentation and support resources.
